Hyeban: Korean BBQ, Sushi & More in Ellicott City, MD

Excellent service, the top notch, and excellent food. Meat was so tender side dishes were soooo good, ugeoji kalbitang was exceptionally tasty, and naengmyen was just right. I haven't been to/it's hard to find a restaurant that everything taste great. We ordered Combo D which serves 3-4 people and it was just perfect. Usually it's not enough but no it was just enough. Quality and quantity was just exceptionly excellent! The wait staffs was so friendly and funny. Really made us feel at home to enjoy our food. Too bad it's not close to home.

Amazing food, friendly service, and one of my favorite places to eat! We ordered the premium plus combo and it was delicious. The meat was super tender. Our waiter, Eric, was awesome! He was super friendly and chatted with us while he helped us with the meat. Overall an amazing experience!

We are so glad we finally came to this place to give a try. Authentic Korean bbq. It’s located next-door to Tous Les Jour bakery, there are plenty of parking in the shopping center, but mostly always packed. The interior decorating feels like a big cafeteria, plain and open. Powerful smoke ventilation system. Quality meats, not the cheapest but tasty. Great selection of small plates. They have a specialty fusion dipping sauce, it is green and spicy…so good. You know this place is authentic when you first walk in and all you see are Koreans eating here in large groups. Another way you can tell is from the menu, they offer some of the authentic Korean dishes that are meant for sharing. On top of that, aside of regular selections of Korean soju they also have one of my favorite, which is the sugar-free Jinro. Good service, very attentive and efficient. To be fully transparent- I am about 4 weeks behind on this review but nonetheless this place deserves some recognition! We went for the first time for their lunch buffet. First, for the price and the variety you just can’t get it any better! I always recommend these if you don’t really know the cuisine but want the option to try different things. We did go at the back end of the service so i wonder if we went earlier on if the food would be more fresh and warm. They offered a variety of various Korean dishes. The thing I loved the most was the option to hold your own bibimbap bowl! They provide 2 different kinds of rice and a wide selection of toppings! It was pretty good!!! The place is ideal for both families or a more intimate group. There is plenty of parking provided so no need to worry about that!

I stopped by for the lunch buffet. The side dishes were quite good, but unfortunately, the rice in the sushi rolls was very dry, which made them difficult to eat. I also found it a bit odd that Kalguksu (noodle soup) or Dak-bokkeum-tang (spicy braised chicken) were offered as side options for the buffet. Personally, I think it would have been much better if complimentary drinks were included instead.

Good food, outstanding customer service. They always take care of my kids when we come here to eat, thoughtfully cutting up the food for them, offering chopsticks that fit their needs, and going the extra mile to make both my kids and us tired parents feel at home. We truly appreciate their attentiveness to everything and we always feel like they’re delivering white glove service. I now recommend this place over any of the other local KBBQ spots bc of their customer service and attention to detail.

My family and I went to HyeBan today for dinner. We had Korean BBQ, mixed jeon, and grilled shrimp. The food was delicious and the servers were super friendly. The meat was tender and marinated meat was so delicious. All the side dishes complimented the main entrees so well. The restaurant has a clean wide open space and I love the fact that they have a little sink where you can just wash your hands instead of going to the bathroom. My daughter loved the steamed eggs and side dishes that came with the combo. We will be going back soon.

Top-notch service, delicious food, and spacious interior. I have been to Hyeban at least 7 times now and can confidently recommend that they consistently provide amazing service and high-quality food. I recommend trying their Premium Kkotsal, Premium Marinated Kkotsal and the Eel.
